I read a lot; it’s my favorite pastime. It’s also my favorite form of learning. And as a recovering perfectionist, people-pleasing, perpetually guilt-ridden type of person, I like to learn about self-improvement. I’m drawn to philosophy that focuses on self-actualization, growth and kindness, and this led me to Buddhism almost two decades ago. Since then, I’ve come across a recurring idea in its beautiful philosophy: we learn through action.
